Wissenschaftlicher Austausch mit Prof. Vignon-Clementel im STIMULATE-Kolloquium
Am 29.06.2023 ist Prof. Vignon-Clementel der Einladung zum STIMULATE-Kolloquium gefolgt. Sie ist die Forschungsdirektorin des Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies du numérique (Inria) in Paris.
In ihrem Vortrag „Hemodynamics digital twin to evaluate if, when or how to perform a surgical intervention” ging Prof. Vignon-Clementel auf die hämodynamische Modellierung von verschiedenen Therapieansätzen in der kardiovaskulären Medizin ein. Außerdem gab sie spannende interdisziplinäre Einblicke in die KI-basierte Unterstützung der Leberchirurgie.
Im Anschluss des Vortrags nutzten die Teilnehmenden noch die Möglichkeit zur intensiven Diskussion über die dargestellten Themen. Außerdem stellte PD Philipp Berg als Leiter der Forschungsgruppe Medical Flow die zurzeit im Forschungscampus STIMULATE laufenden Themen in diesem Forschungsbereich vor. Durch diesen Austausch wurden zahlreiche Schnittstellen mit den Arbeiten von Prof. Vignon-Clementel identifiziert und Möglichkeiten für eine zukünftige Kooperation diskutiert.

Scientific discussion with Prof. Prof. Vignon-Clementel at the STIMULATE colloquium
On June 29, 2023, Prof. Vignon-Clementel followed the invitation to the STIMULATE colloquium. She is the research director of the Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies du numérique (Inria) in Paris.
In her presentation "Hemodynamics digital twin to evaluate if, when or how to perform a surgical intervention", Prof. Vignon-Clementel addressed the hemodynamic modeling of different therapeutic approaches in cardiovascular medicine. She also provided exciting interdisciplinary insights into AI-based support for liver surgery.
After the presentation, the participants took the opportunity for an intensive discussion about the presented topics. In addition, PD Philipp Berg, head of the Medical Flow research group, presented the ongoing topics in this research area at the Research Campus STIMULATE. By this exchange, several intersections with the work of Prof. Vignon-Clementel were identified and possibilities for a future cooperation were discussed.
